Product Description

Tryptone is the assortment of peptides formed by the digestion of casein by the protease trypsin.
Tryptone is commonly used in microbiology to produce lysogeny broth (LB)for the growth of E. coli and other microorganisms. It provides a source of amino acids for the growing bacteria.
Tryptone is a Pancreatic digest of casein and as such composed of a mixture of amino acids,including essential amino acids,and larger peptides.It is widely used as a supplement for microbiological culture media, as the hydrolysate is an excellent nutrient.
It has excellent consistency.
tryptone is an enzymatic digest of casein used as a nitrogen source in culture media.
