Magnesium Dipotassium EDTA is a chelating agent and fertilizer used in agriculture and horticulture to enhance the availability of essential minerals and trace elements. It is a complex of two magnesium and two potassium ions, bound to one EDTA molecule. EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) is a synthetic organic compound, which functions as a chelating agent and can bind to metal ions, making them more soluble and, thus, more available to plants. Magnesium Dipotassium EDTA is a water-soluble fertilizer, which is usually applied as a foliar spray or through an irrigation system. It is often used to correct deficiencies of magnesium, potassium, and other micronutrients in plants. In addition, it can be used to prevent nutrient deficiencies in soils with low mineral content.
